Humanitarian Day at USC On Saturday August 15, 2009 at the University of Southern California will host a Humanitarian Day Conference featuring keynote speaker: Imam Saadullah Khan. This day will include valuable insight and information regarding American domestic issues and effective management. The ILM Foundation has successfully organize regional and international partnership and would to share how these efforts are facilitated effectively. Topic of Discussion: “Conquering Homelessness with a Good Attitude & Faith” delivered by Abdul-Lateef Muhammad. Moderated by the ILM staff, this is an event worth your time, seating is limited please RSVP soon. Humanitarian Day 2009 Los Angeles June 2009 – The month of June will begin community awareness and education about homelessness in Southern California, regarding the estimated 68,000+plus homeless people in Los Angeles County (reported by LAHSA). Several organizations are planning to service the Los Angeles, Long Beach, Inland Empire and Orange County areas; in the month of September/ Ramadan with Humanitarian Day (HD).
Founders and organizer, ILM Foundation whose mission is; “Teaching Life Skills to Replace Social Ills”, will coordinate with community partners for Skid Row’s 10th Annual Humanitarian Day. HD’s domestic events service communities every Ramadan with personal tangible items, food, hygiene products and medical screenings. “Preserving human dignity is our main service” says Naim Shah Jr, ILM Foundation’s Executive Director. He further states, “Education is very important informing the people could hopefully stimulate more activities in assisting our local governments with this domestic problem.” Read more... |
