ILM’s Director Umar Hakim and Andrea Hodos of NewGround Muslim-Jewish Partnership for Change, then spent their next two weeks at Cambridge University for the Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship (AdRF.) Out of 500 applicants, our brother was selected to join 24 fellows from around world, as AdRF’s 2016 cohort. The fellows would engage an exciting program on, Intercultural Leadership and Entrepreneurship Innovation which includes intense social science studies, academic lectures, and interfaith dialogue throughout Cambridge and London, England.

“The Edmond de Rothschild Foundations (EDRF) promote a modern view of philanthropy that centers on the dignity and empowerment of each individual. Rather than simply making donations, they engage actively with their partners in driving social innovation.”

ILM Foundation’s mission is “to teach life skills to economically underprivileged youth and adults so that social ills are replaced with opportunities for intellectual and economic empowerment.”  This opportunity at Cambridge University, aligns strategically with ILM’s social entrepreneurial spirit and intention for embracing the millennial world.  Imam Saadiq’s extraordinary vision has shaped and prepared his students, for gradual progress through his amazing teachings and advisory.

The world of philanthropy is shifting its way of funding organizations. It is beginning to focus more on raising individuals through dynamic programming and training for personal growth. ILM Foundation seeks to improve its own personnel and those who we stand for, with empowering opportunities for economic growth. Umar says…

“We will encourage our community to inspire a social change, for better business and soci–political practices for a more meaningful social life.”

ILM Foundation, by the Creator’s Grace, will continue to promote health, security, and protection as an affordable lifestyle for all. We are now cultivating ourselves in new grassroots territory such as; Humanitarian Day International (HDI) in Ghana and Indonesia, and Social Entrepreneurship here stateside. We are grateful for your continued support for the last 17 years of community care.
