Humanitarian Day

Humanitarian Day (HDAY) is a faith response to an increase in gratefulness and humility by sharing gift items, love, and respect with those unsheltered.

It unites the faith community together to raise awareness about the local humanitarian crisis that needs attention and resources to address.

Ramadan provided the best foundation to host HDAY annually because the Muslim community’s spiritual motivation to give back is at an all-year high.

Due to the scale of HDAY, ILM knew it was important to develop a coalition of organizations, sponsors, and volunteers to help maintain and expand the HDAY effort which led to the formation of the Coalition to Preserve Human Dignity.
